HEADSHOTS
We have an initial meeting about your headshots - do you want traditional? what backdrop? what outfits? what locations? what do you want people to know about you?
We create a plan to suit you, and in the session I will talk you through how to move, what to do with your hands, how to come through the camera as your best self. It takes focus (sorry!) and work, but it’s fun and creative, and definitely not painful.
SENIORS and Grads
Time to show who you are! Though we change and grow always, the last year of high school is a particular milestone, and a great opportunity to get creative and unique portraits. These are NOT your regular school photos!!! Even if you’re not usually comfortable in front of the camera, your own low-pressure, personally created shoot lets you be yourself.
Family Sessions
Please, please take the pictures! I’ll help you with wardrobe and styling (choosing what to wear) and I’ll direct you through the whole session. You’re never on your own, and I want you to actually have fun during the whole process. You don’t have to look at the camera, or make your kids smile and stand straight. I’ll take care of helping you all make portraits you can treasure.
WEDDINGS AND FORMAL EVENTS
When everyone’s all dressed up, they need good photos! And no stress about posing and timeline. I work with every client to develop a plan for their big day which fits YOUR goals and vision. My wedding photography is documentary and non-obtrusive. I’m there to record the beauty of your day, let you enjoy yourselves, and give you beautiful images to treasure.

I’m Julie. I’ve always loved faces!
Every person’s face is beautiful. If you love someone, their face is specially dear. I take photos to get a lasting image of the beautiful-ness of people. Every face deserves to be shown for its beauty, and the personality of that shines through it. It’s always a delight to me to show it.
I live in the woods of Connecticut now, and many of my 8 children are grown. Reading, cooking, teaching, volunteering, and family stuff keep me busy when I’m not photographing. Wellness and prayer are important to me. My friends are gifts. Learning to see what’s in front of me, and find the beauty in it, has been a huge part of my photography, and it’s all connected, right?
