Hello TCS Families,
Photo Day is just around the corner! My name is Julie Powell, and I provide school photography (among many other genres) through my business, Rockland Studios Photography.
I am thrilled to be creating fine art portraits of your children this year. My goal is to make Photo Day simple for the school, and a joyful experience for families, while providing portraits that are timeless and authentic.
What to Know
What is a fine art school portrait?
This is a modern approach to school photography. I encourage each child to relax by directing them to find comfortable expressions, so portraits feel genuine and reflect their real personality.
What to expect on Photo Day
Each class will come to the portrait area together. Every child will spend time with me while I capture several natural expressions. The process is designed to be quick, and to help the children feel at ease and comfortable.
What should my child wear?
Solid colors or small patterns photograph best. Please avoid large logos, busy patterns, or neon colors as they can detract from your child’s portrait. All photos are taken from the shoulders up, so the top half of your child’s outfit is the most important.
How will I view my child’s images?
Within 3 weeks of Photo Day you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. Each gallery will be password protected, and will have your child’s images for you to select for purchase.
How does ordering work?
Families can order directly from the online gallery. Prints, digital files, and other products are available à la carte. There are no pre-purchased packages or bundles, so you only buy what you truly love.
When will I receive my portraits?
Digital files are delivered instantly via email as soon as you complete your purchase. Print orders will be delivered directly to the school within three weeks of the gallery closing, and sent home with students.
